Inspiriation II Flies! Inspiration II is an experimental aircraft built by students of George T. Baker Aviation School and Barrington Irving's Experience Aviation. The plane was built over the summer as part of the "Build & Soar" Program. Numerous organizations and companies donated resources to ensure that the plane was completed. The first flight took place at Opa Locka Airport on October 15th. Special thanks goes to the Baker Instructors who tirelessly volunteered: Nilda Garcia, Larry Williams, Alan Munoz, Dan Salcedo, and Pat Heron. This project could not have been completed without the student "Crew Chiefs": Alexis Almonte, Jorge Bernal, Virgilio Brun, Jose Campos, Pablo Gonzalez, Eddie Novo, Aureliz Yapur, and Everton Drakes. Great job! |

Baker is now a part of Adopt-A-Classroom |
George T. Baker Aviation School is working with the Adopt-A-Classroom program to help schools in our community - including Baker Aviation! You can make a big difference in the educational lives of a classroom full of students.
To view a complete list of classroom needs at Baker Aviation and other local schools, and to learn more about Adopt-A-Classroom, please take a few minutes to visit www.adoptaclassroom.org.
What is great about the program is that it passes 100% of all donations through directly to the teacher to purchase critical resources for the classroom. This helps a lot considering that teachers spend an average of $1,200 a year of their own money purchasing supplies for the classroom. To maintain 100% accountability, Adopt-A-Classroom sends each donor a report that details exactly what the teacher purchased with your donated funds. Lastly, donors receive communications from the classroom so they can experience first-hand the impact of their contributions.
Thank you for your support. |
