Florida Skills USA

Students from Baker Aviation prove once again that hard work and dedication pay off!!

The SKILLS USA Clubs – both high school and Post Secondary clubs recently participated in the Region 5 competition and proudly brought back medals in 5 categories as well as 1st place Gold Medals in each of the 5 categories.
Our students superbly represented the entire school and staff and the Baker reputation of excellence. The entire club worked hard to prepare for this important competition.

Winners in the High School Division –
Aviation Maintenance Technology – Jonathan Gallegos took the prestigious 1st place – Gold, Juan Navarrete took 2nd place with a Silver medal and Henrick Sosa came through with a 3rd place Bronze medal. 
Electronics Technology – Diego Real took an outstanding 1st place Gold Medal and Frankie Disintonio brought back the 3rd place Bronze Medal.
The Quiz Bowl Team of Alfredo Lopez, Diego Real, Frankie Disintonio and Henry Gonzalez had a terrific competition as well.

Winners in the Post Secondary Division –
Aviation Maintenance Technology category, Baker Aviation swept the competitions taking 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Steffon Smith with the Gold Medal, Mauricio Hernandez with the Silver Medal and finally, Juan Carlos Salgado picked up the Bronze.
Electronics Technology – Luis Petite earned the 1st place Gold Medal while Ivan Ponton walked away with the Silver Medal.

Mr. King is proud of the entire club and the Baker staff applauds their hard work and dedication to being the best.
