AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
The mission of George T. Baker Aviation School is to provide quality occupational training to persons interested in aircraft maintenance and electronic technology and for them to become gainfully employed in the industry.
The Aircraft Technician program prepares students for employment as an aircraft mechanic. Students who complete the Airframe and/or Powerplant Technician program(s) are eligible to take the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) written, oral, and practical examinations. The school is certificated by the FAA under Certificate# CT9T072R and accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Council on Occupational Education.
General The General curriculum is a 6-month prerequisite for both the Airframe Technician and/or Powerplant Technician program.
Airframe The Airframe Technician program is a one-year program consisting of an in-depth study of aircraft structures and systems.
Powerplant The Powerplant Technician program is a one-year program consisting of an in-depth study of powerplant theory and maintenance of aircraft engine operations and systems.
Cost of Program Tuition cost for Florida residents is approximately $5,000 (Tuition cost for out of State and Visa students is approximately $20,000). Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
