Welcome to Baker Aviation!

George T. Baker Aviation School is located at 3275 N.W. 42 Avenue, adjacent to the Miami International Airport. The school is a public, tax-supported institution authorized by the Florida Department of Education and operated by the Miami-Dade County Public School System. It is accredited by the Council on Occupational Education (COE) and the National Center for Aircraft Technician Training (NCATT) and is certificated by the Federal Aviation Administration under Part 147 of the Federal Aviation Regulations. Certificate # CT9T072R.

American Airlines Donates MD-82 to Baker Aviation

Today, November 4th, 2009, at the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, Peter J. Delora, Senior Vice President, Miami, Caribbean, and Latin America, American Airlines, announced the donation of the $6,000,000 MD-82 aircraft to Baker Aviation. The aircraft is expected to arrive at Miami International within the next few weeks. It will provide students at Baker Aviation with a large commercial aircraft to prepare for real world jobs in the exciting and growing aviation maintenance industry. Instructor Stevens earns his Pilot License

We are pround to announce that another one of our instructors, Mr. John Stevens has earned his FAA Private Pilot License. Mr. Stevens has fully restored a 1950's era Tri-Pacer and earned his wings in it this week. Congrats JP!

2010-11 High School Registration Open

We are now accepting applications for our 2010-2011 career dual enrollment high school program. The application is online and can be found at: http://apply.bakeraviation.edu/. As a potential career dual enrollment high school student, you must have a minimum of a 2.0 GPA, passing FCAT scores, superior attendance, conduct, and effort.
